| 本校兩位同學出席了由丘成桐教授主講，題為「數學之美」的嶺南大學大學論壇 。丘成桐教授現任清華大學丘成桐數學科學中心主任，並為哈佛大學榮休教授。是次講座中，丘教授探討了自然界的美如何啟發基礎數學研究，並講解幾何學的優美理論及其在各領域的重要應用。曹校長及本校兩位同學與嶺大副校長國際著名數學家陳漢夫教授拍照留念。
Two students from our school attended a forum at Lingnan University titled "The Beauty of Mathematics," delivered by Professor Shing-Tung Yau. Professor Yau is currently the director of the Shing-Tung Yau Center for Mathematical Sciences at Tsinghua University and is a professor emeritus at Harvard University. In this lecture, Professor Yau explored how the beauty of nature inspires fundamental mathematical research and discussed the elegant theories of geometry and their significant applications across various fields. Principal and the two students from our school took a photo with Professor Chan Hon-fu, the internationally renowned mathematician and vice president of Lingnan University. |
