「Information Technology Education (e-Learning)
|
During the 2016-2017 academic year, our school implemented the WiFi-900 Phase I Project (“Enhancing Schools’ Wi-Fi Infrastructure Project”) to upgrade the wireless network infrastructure in all classrooms and purchase additional tablet computers for teaching purposes, so that students can use Wi-Fi for mobile learning in any part of the school campus and implement an “outdoor wall-free classroom.”
As part of our drive to expand access to e-learning, we have also launched a “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) initiative this year. Through BYOD, we hope to provide students with more opportunities for personalized, collaborative, and interactive learning, as well as increase the interactivity of the classroom, in order to increase the effectiveness and enjoyment of learning and foster students’ independent learning skills.
BYOD Introduction
In order to further assist students in developing their IT application skills as well as their creativity and problem-solving abilities, our school has converted one of its computer rooms into a STEM lab where they can work on projects like programming robots, making electronic games, 3D printing, programming microcomputers, etc. |
